Twenty square meters with complex geometry - stairs, doors, roof slopes - set the initial framework, within which it was important to maintain a feeling of lightness. The updated interior is built so that light glides freely across surfaces, reflected and amplified. White walls, ceiling and floor become a clean background, against which the sun's play and the changing mood of the day are especially noticeable.
The roof slopes turned into an expressive plane, where roof windows of different sizes appeared, located in an almost random, lively rhythm. This solution made it possible to literally “let the sky” in, making the light mobile and changing throughout the day. To support this game, color was carefully added to the interior - not in large planes, but in details that work as accents and do not overload the space.
One of these details was the finishing of the slopes of the dormer windows. Birch plywood SyPly BIRCH Top grade E/BB was used here, which is organically integrated into the overall concept. Plywood slopes are painted in bright shades. The color schemes - sunny yellow and sky blue - support the idea of light and sky, turning window openings into independent decorative elements. Moreover, the material was not chosen by chance: moisture-resistant birch plywood is durable and resistant to operating conditions, and the highest grade with no wood defects is ideal for surface painting.
The environment supports the given mood. A large corner sofa in white looks light, despite its size, and forms the main seating area. In front of it is a coffee table, which also serves as a storage space for board games. A shelving unit with sky-blue enamel appears near the stairs, echoing the window slopes, and next to it there is an area with a player and a collection of records, setting the tone for the whole room.
The final touches bring the interior together: a soft carpet, textiles in basic shades, a bright sconce that creates vibrant reflections. A guitar, records, ceramics on the shelves and a small musical still life add personality to the space.
The result is an interior in which everything is subordinated to a feeling of light and a calm rhythm of life. It's easy to switch to music, conversation or a game - and just as easy to just watch the light change throughout the day.
