The author of the project
Inna Faynshteyn wanted to recreate the idea of a “Chekhov’s” dacha, not in the architectural and historical sense, but how a certain literary image of a “family nest”: when several generations can be together in one room, minding their own business.
Until recently, the most popular place for such gatherings - the living room did not meet these needs at all.. The author of the project took on the task of transforming the architecture of the room, building it according to classical canons into a functional and harmonious space. They decided to move the window and door openings to one axis, created focal points, and zoned the space using decorative techniques.
The ceiling in the living room was decorated with oak parquet boards, the structural basis for which was
SyPly plywood. The dies to the plywood were shot with a mounting gun, and then holes were drilled in them for the lamps. The walls were covered with a fresco on a non-woven backing with a pattern of meadow grasses. The kitchen backsplash was lined with glazed tiles with an interesting texture.
The kitchen for comfortable cooking was made to order. Body made of Lamarty laminated chipboards in the decor
“Snow White”. In accordance with the project, display cases for dishes were installed in the niches at the entrance. The kitchen island is located in the center, and additional storage space is located in the two upper cabinets symmetrically to the window.. Beech dining table doubles in size when folded out. It is surrounded by chairs on three sides, and two beech benches on the fourth, repeating the shape of the table.
To create a real “Chekhovian” atmosphere, motifs of Russian country life were introduced into this interior with its obligatory lampshades, painted plates, simple napkins with cross stitching, which creates an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and continuity of generations and reflects the essence and value of having a family country house as a whole.
