The idea for the project was inspired by the work of Pierre Paulin, especially his 1972 interior of the Elysee Palace created for President Georges Pompidou. Pierre Paulin is known for his unconventional furniture designs, which changed ideas about familiar things. Its futuristic forms, light elements and unusual use of finishing materials, combined with the classical appearance of the palace, inspired the author of the project - designer Maxim Kashin .
The project began with rough work: the walls were leveled, the ceiling and floor were updated. To create a unique atmosphere, a huge round-shaped lightbox was mounted on the ceiling from SyPly rough plywood and construction plasticine. The impressive structure was installed using a hand lift.
Continuing to round out the living room, the corners were softened with radius shelving, adding smooth lines and functional solutions to the space.. The designer table from Maxim Kashin, like all the other furniture, fits perfectly into the concept, supporting the theme of rounded shapes.
The frames of the sofa modules were made of durable SyPly birch plywoodBIRCH LOW, and curved lines were created using flexible ceiba plywood - an exotic coniferous tree. The softness of the sofas is ensured by elastic polyurethane foam, and the look is completed by upholstery made of wear-resistant furniture melange with pile.
The result is a unique and modern space filled with futuristic shapes. Details of the project and video release can be found on the website of the “Dachny Answer” program - peredelka.tv
